As most of you know, our very own coach Ana Grimh is a Doctor of Physical Therapy student here at UW. She and several of her DPT students are headed to Peru in May to support a non-profit organization, Manos Unidas. Manos Unidas Peru is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in 2008 in Cusco, Peru. They provide quality education and teacher training opportunities to serve children and young adults from all social classes with developmental disabilities such as Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Cerebral Palsy. The mission is to implement programs that facilitate successful inclusive educational and work opportunities for persons with special needs in the Andean region.

So, in lieu of regular classes this Saturday, a few bright-eyed bushy-tailed well-rested DPT-2’s (Ana and her classmates) will be guiding you through a FUN community throwdown WOD, as well as providing things such as chair massages, advice for aches & pain, etc. The community WODs will happen at 9:00am and 10:00am (no 8:00am class that day!). This WOD will be accessible to all, so please invite friends, family, anyone you think would enjoy it! Kids should also be able to participate! We’ll run heats as needed. WOD has not been released yet . See flyer for more details, and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE share the flyer with others!
