The emergence of Covid-19 and the subsequent quarantine have revealed a need for more fitness options. For the first time, many of us are unable to use public gyms. We’re are stuck at home looking for ways to maintain our hard-won fitness gains and ideally to continue to progress. Others of us are looking for a way to combat the additional stress and fatigue brought on by quarantine, and we know regular exercise relieves both. The good news is it’s still possible to maintain or improve your fitness—as well as reduce stress, anxiety, and fatigue—within the confines of your own home.

These new circumstances necessitate fitness programming that can be executed from home with little or no equipment. Before the mandated quarantine, many of us took for granted the option of working out in a gym among others, but as this unprecedented time has demonstrated, we must be ready to adapt to a new reality without public gyms, shared equipment, and group classes.

We at CrossFit Sanctify recognize this novel exigency, and we are responding by offering twelve weeks of home programming developed by fitness professionals with expertise in exercise science and fitness programming. We know that with the right programming and consistent effort you can move the dial on your fitness even during quarantine. It is with this goal in mind that we’ve created two programming streams designed for home use. You do not need to be familiar with CrossFit to execute these workouts—though we believe CrossFitters will appreciate them, too.

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Sanctify Coach, Alex Burgy, has developed three months of home programming: One programming stream requires very limited equipment, and the other requires some basic equipment. Both programming tracks include strength training and metabolic conditioning components, and they are easily scalable for any fitness level from novice to advanced.

Our basic equipment programming track has a hypertrophy, or muscle building, focus and is designed to increase lean muscle mass while improving muscular endurance. The limited equipment track works to improve general strength and fitness using mostly body weight exercises. This track is useful for individuals who lack equipment, space, and/or are new to strength training and physical conditioning. For the cost of $30, you gain access to four weeks of programming for both tracks, in addition to programming instructions and demonstration videos.
