1RM Snatch day!
Coaching Notes:
Today is a special kind of day for the gym. Coaches need to be on point and make sure that they have set up a good flow for the workout of the day. We are having this on a running clock where we have 40:00 to establish a 1RM Snatch, a 3RM Back Squat, and a 5RM Push Press. This will be sure to test your athletes and give them some good solid numbers to base the next cycle off of. Our focus during this cycle was on the 3 Rep Back Squat and developing volume and muscular stamina in the overhead press which is why we are testing the 5RM as part of this total.
Scaling Mods:
Today, we are testing out maxes. So for newer athletes or anyone just walking into the gym, this is not necessarily the day for them to really go all out. This could be a good time for coaches to work with individual athletes and hone in technique while others are testing their limits.
